In what was certainly Rick Porcello’s best game in his four seasons with the Red Sox and arguably the top performance of his career, the sinkerballer mowed through the powerful Yankees in a 4-1 victory Friday night at Fenway Park that put his team even more in the driver’s seat in the American League East. Porcello fired a complete-game one-hitter, striking out nine and walking none while throwing just 86 pitches. His only blemish was the solo homer he allowed to Miguel Andujar to open the top of the third.
