The Rangers couldn’t stop Leonys Martin from running all over Globe Life Park on Monday. On Tuesday, a swollen left knee did. Indeed, the injuries are piling up for the Tigers. After losing Miguel Cabrera, Alex Wilson and Jordan Zimmermann to the disabled list on their current weeklong road trip, they’ll now have to be concerned with their leadoff hitter and center fielder. Martin will undergo an MRI exam to see if there’s any damage at the back of his left knee, an area that has been sore for a while but swelled up on him after Monday’s 7-6 loss.
